Methods and materials: For the period of Dec 1 to Jan 23 2020/21, 16 children with symptoms meeting the criteria for MIS-C were hospitalized in the Pediatric Department of UMHATEM “N. I. Pirogov“. We present two demonstrative clinical cases of children with MIS-C and severe gastrointestinal symptoms that mimicked acute abdomen. Results аnd discussion: One of the main clinical characteristics of MIS-C is the gastrointestinal involvement and GI tract symptoms. Тhe clinical manifestation of MIS-C: abdominal pain, high inflammatory markers with no certain focus and etiology, can resemble acute abdomen. Conclusion: In children with severe gastrointestinal symptoms and extremely high inflammatory markers after recent COVID-19 infection, MIS-C should be considered as a part of the differential diagnosis of the patients. © 2021 Academy of Medicine.
